As a Field Services & Commissioning Technician, you will support the commissioning and handover of Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) solar and battery storage projects.

Working closely with our internal teams, contractors, suppliers and customers, you will coordinate and oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, grid connection and the transition of projects into operation.

This is a hands-on technical role involving regular travel to project sites. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and develop your knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, commissioning processes and grid connection requirements through practical, on-the-job experience.

C&I; Storage & PV Turnkey Solutions.

Main Responsibilities

- Coordinate and support pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing activities across solar PV and C&I; storage projects.
- Ensure installations are safely tested and meet required technical, quality and performance standards.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders at site level.
- Support grid connection, system start-up, interoperability testing and commercial operation.
- Liaise with Distribution and Transmission Network Operators (DNOs/TNOs) to ensure compliance with grid requirements.
- Support the transition from construction to operation, ensuring documentation, warranties, spare parts and operational handover requirements are in place.
- Monitor plant performance during the pre-operational period and support the resolution of technical issues.
- Contribute to engineering, design and construction reviews, as well as the continuous improvement of commissioning processes and procedures.

Travel & Development

- Regular travel (circa 80%) to project sites is required, including occasional overnight stays depending on project location and project needs.




- You will gain hands-on experience working with solar PV and battery storage technologies, commissioning procedures and grid connection requirements.
- Training and guidance will be provided by experienced team members, allowing you to build your technical knowledge and develop your expertise on the job.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related technical discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in engineering, technical services, commissioning, O&M; or a related industrial environment.
- Experience in solar PV, battery storage or Solar EPC projects is strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of commissioning and O&M; processes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with MS Project, Power BI and CRM systems is an advantage.
