Overview

As a Data Center Construction Manager, you will oversee the construction and commissioning of AWS data centers, coordinating civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and control disciplines. You’ll manage contracts, scope, schedule, and budget for specific sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality turn-overs. You’ll partner with general contractors and vendors to drive resilient, cost-effective infrastructure. This role sits within AWS Infrastructure Services, contributing to scalable, energy-efficient data center delivery. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver critical facilities at scale with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

- Oversee construction activities for new builds or capital projects at a specific data center site, owning scope, timeline, and budget.
- Interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure efficient, high-quality project handovers.




- Lead bid evaluations and negotiations with general contractors.
- Develop construction project scope and requests for proposals.
- Perform capital financial analysis including change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Manage initiatives to increase data center resiliency through construction projects.
- Review electrical and mechanical designs for new builds or optimization projects.
- Review construction submittals and support commissioning planning and activities.
- Record and report construction metrics to the team and management.
- Act as a leader within the group and across internal and external teams supporting the data center.

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in data center delivery (design, commissioning, and construction) or equivalent industrial/manufacturing facility builds
- Fluent in English and Spanish
