Experteer Overview
In this role you execute risk-based internal audits and help define the annual plan for the N26 group, with a focus on the Spain business. You will prepare audit reports, ensure timely remediation of findings, and maintain independence while collaborating on key projects. You’ll supervise junior staff and liaise with regulators as needed, contributing to a compliant, efficient financial operation in a fast-paced digital bank environment.

• Support and conduct internal audit activities across the N26 group, including Spain and external contractors
• Lead full audit cycle including risk management and control effectiveness
• Ensure execution of the annual and multi-year audit plan with focus on Spain Branch
• Prepare internal audit reports
• Develop a risk-based annual audit plan for business functions (product, customer operations, sales, marketing, partnerships)
• Supervise and review audit work of junior team members
• Monitor timely remediation of audit findings
• Participate in key projects while maintaining independence and adherence to policies
• Perform work per established professional and regulatory standards
Responsabilidades
• Significant experience as internal auditor in an international, regulated environment (bank or financial institution preferred)
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, digital product development; data-driven audit techniques considered a plus
• Experience liaising with external regulators and supervisory bodies
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong understanding of processes in online banking and retail products
• Knowledge of banking laws and local banking requirements; willingness to learn local banking IT-systems
