Experteer Overview
In this role you design, operate, and optimize Oracle databases on OCI, including Exadata, to ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. You join a senior team to influence architectural decisions and scale Sofico’s cloud platform. The role blends database engineering with cloud operations, automation, and disaster recovery. It offers visibility and impact as you drive operational excellence and collaborate across the Platform Infrastructure group. You work on high-availability data services that support top-tier enterprise clients.

• Design and optimize Oracle database environments on OCI (including Exadata)
• Manage Data Guard, RAC, and GoldenGate
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents with root-cause analysis
• Drive performance tuning, workload management, and capacity planning
• Collaborate on OCI and Azure-OCI connectivity
• Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
• Plan patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management with minimal downtime
• Automate tasks using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting

standards, and best practices
• Monitor and optimize Oracle licensing and costs
Responsabilidades
• Extensive experience as a Senior Oracle DBA in large production environments
• Strong hands-on OCI expertise
• Experience with Exadata, Exascale Infrastructure, Base Database Services, and Autonomous Databases
• Deep knowledge of Oracle internals and performance tuning
• Proficiency in AWR, ASH, SQL tuning, and capacity modeling
• Experience with Data Guard, RAC, backup/recovery, and DR planning
• Experience with GoldenGate replication
• Upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management experience
• Infrastructure as Code and automation skills (Terraform, Ansible, Python, Shell scripting)
• Knowledge of OCI networking, security, and cloud governance
• Understanding of Oracle licensing models and cost impact
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently within a distributed team
• Documentation-focused and committed to operational excellence
• Excellent English communication skills
