Experteer Overview
Join Seqera as a Fullstack Software Engineer on the Platform team to help scale the Seqera Platform, enabling scientists to run Nextflow pipelines on cloud and HPC. You will own end-to-end features across API, data modeling, cloud integrations and frontend, using Java/Groovy with Micronaut and Angular. Expect a mix of backend design, UI work, testing, and CI/CD in a small, cross-functional team. You’ll shape architecture decisions and deliver high-impact improvements in a fast-growing startup. This is a chance to work on data-driven scientific workflows in a collaborative, international environment.

• Design and implement REST APIs and downstream services using Groovy, Java and Micronaut for scalability, security, and performance
• Implement UI components in Angular that interact with the Seqera Platform API
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with unit tests, source control, CI, automation and design patterns
• Analyze requirements and develop features from product requirements
• Build E2E tests to verify backend–client integration
• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability




• Make DIagnostic design decisions and document systems to avoid single-person dependency
• Design data models and APIs that stay consistent across services and releases
• Build reusable code and components for future use
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure and Design teams to improve the product

Responsabilidades
• 4+ years building and operating production backend services with ownership of at least one
• Strong in Java and/or Groovy, with Micronaut, Spring Boot or similar
• Proficiency in REST API design and data modeling, with cross-version compatibility
• Experience with Typescript and Angular or React
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins or Github Actions
• Accountable for something customer-facing in production
• Comfortable with ambiguity and self-driven work style
• Willingness to leverage AI in daily work
