As Staff Software Quality Engineer you lead test automation and quality engineering across multiple teams in a large, distributed system. You set the testing direction and build a scalable automation framework integrated into CI/CD, ensuring reliable quality gates. You’ll champion left-shifted quality, influence architecture discussions, and mentor engineers to raise standards. The role supports Siemens’ mission of secure, transparent product data and resilient workflows at scale.

• Own the technical test strategy and risk-based coverage across API, contract, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and resilience testing
• Own release acceptance from a quality and testing perspective for functional and non-functional requirements
• Design, build, and evolve the test automation framework and integrate it into the CI/CD pipeline as fast, reliable quality gates
• Write and review automated tests hands-on and set coding standards for test contributions
• Embed testability and acceptance criteria in refinement, architecture discussions, and the Definition of Done
• Manage test environments and test data to ensure scalable automation runs
• Run defect triage, investigate flaky tests and failures, and drive root-cause fixes




• Provide evidence-based release-readiness input using automation results and known risks
• Mentor engineers technically and promote quality as a shared Scrum Team responsibility

Responsabilidades
• 8+ years in quality engineering or test automation for complex, distributed platforms
• Experience leading testing as a technical lead
• Test automation across API, contract, integration, end-to-end, UI, and regression with CI/CD
• Testing of distributed async workflows, idempotency, retries, failures, and recovery
• Data testing, large-volume processing, performance, scalability, resilience
• Programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Java, or equivalent; SQL and APIs
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD or similar, Playwright or Cypress, API testing tools, load-testing tools
• Cloud/observability: testing AWS-based services and diagnosing issues via logs/metrics/traces
• Strong communication and English proficiency
