As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in utilising the latest technologies to craft cloud-based, distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices capable of handling a staggering volume of gaming transactions—approximately 1.3 billion per month. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, including the Regulatory Reporting Team and game operations teams, you'll spearhead innovative projects such as LeoJackpot while ensuring seamless API integrations and optimising performance for an unparalleled gaming experience.

Developing and maintaining microservices using Java, Spring Boot and JPA
Integrating new gaming providers into the platform via APIs
Collaborating with frontend teams to expose game data via APIs
Optimising the performance and scalability of backend systems
Ensuring services are production-ready,



observable and maintainable through monitoring and alerting
3+ years of backend development with Java, Spring (Boot) and JPA/Hibernate
~ Experience with relational databases such as MySQL
~ Experience designing monitoring dashboards (metrics, logs, traces) and alerts to detect issues proactively

Messaging and data: Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hazelcast
