Overview

In this role you drive the technical deal execution for Checkout.com’s card issuing platform in a fast-paced fintech environment. You partner with Sales, Account Managers, and Implementation Engineers to position solutions, run live demos, and shape multi-product deals from discovery to go-live. You provide issuing domain leadership across authorization, settlement, and related streams, while keeping customer outcomes at the center. The role blends pre-sales expertise with post-launch technical ownership, offering impactful work shaping client programs and platform adoption.

Responsabilidades
- Partner with Sales and broader Issuing Operations to position the card issuing platform in high-velocity deals
- Architect end-to-end card issuing solutions mapping client requirements to APIs and workflows
- Build and demonstrate solutions through live demos, POCs, and tailored presentations
- Provide domain leadership on Card Issuing, Authorization & Settlement, Network Tokenisation, 3DS, Fraud/Risk Controls, and card program operations
- Lead technical discussions with clients from discovery through go-live,



collaborating with Implementation Engineers
- Support technical and security aspects of RFP/RFI responses and procurement processes
- Capture customer feedback to drive product improvements and feature enhancements
- Maintain deep expertise on Checkout.com’s issuing platform and regulatory requirements

Requisitos principales
- 5+ years in a high-velocity, client-facing technical role in payments
- UK & EEA issuing experience with virtual and physical card programs
- Expert understanding of card program mechanics, BIN ranges, issuer processing, and card scheme compliance
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end payment flows, 3DS, Network Tokenisation, SCA, and fraud engine mechanics

- Exceptional communicator (English); comfortable engaging CTOs and CFOs
- Commercially minded; discusses interchange and revenue impact beyond API details
- Highly organized; thrives under pressure in deal-driven environments
- Coding ability; comfortable with web technologies
- Proficiency in at least one frontend (JavaScript, React) or backend (Node.js, Python, Java, .NET, Go)
- API & debugging mastery; REST/JSON, Postman, Webhooks; ability to diagnose via logs and responses
