Overview

As an ETCS Software Engineer at Siemens Mobility, you configure and design wayside ETCS software for main line projects, ensuring trains run safely and automatically. You will act as the technical expert for ETCS sub-systems and contribute across the engineering lifecycle from requirements to commissioning. You will support testing and safety teams and prepare thorough technical documentation to meet project requirements. This role sits within a cross-functional, international team focused on safe, digital railway solutions and impactful rail modernization.

Responsabilidades
- Act as the technical expert for ETCS sub-system functional behavior, engineering rules, and data preparation tools
- Engineer the ETCS-specific configuration based on project requirements within budget and milestones
- Support testing, verification,



and safety teams with software configuration issues and log analysis
- Drive all phases of the ATC application engineering cycle from requirements to implementation and commissioning
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation aligned with project requirements and applicable regulations

Requisitos principales
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
- Solid experience in Rail Signaling, specifically with ATC technologies (ERTMS, ASFA)
- Extensive knowledge of SUBSET 026, 039, and 040, plus CENELEC standards and V-life Cycle models
- Strong analytical skills for requirements analysis and advanced data handling (Microsoft Excel, VBA)
- Fluency in English for international projects with distributed, multidisciplinary teams
