- Postdoctoral research position - molecular bases of human ageing.

Human ageing is a fascinating scientific problem and, just as integral warming, a major world challenge.

In our laboratory we know absolutely nothing about the science of global warming, almost nothing about human ageing, and just a little bit about protein synthesis. Following a recent report from our group (Murillo M. et al, Genome Research 2026) we have now secured funds to investigate how is ageing linked to protein synthesis decay, hopefully without contributing too much to global warming.

So, for the next few months,we will be seeking a postdoctoral researcher to help us understand this question. The position will be for a minimum of two years.

We are seeking a profoundly curious, brilliantly intelligent, tremendously hard-working, future Nobel prize winner. However, other people may also apply as long as you bring experience that helps make our group better, and you send us a motivation letter that demonstrates that you understand the problem, are enthused by it,

and have your own ideas on how to approach it. Good reference letters tend to help too.

Thank you !
