OverviewIn this role, you will drive performance engineering and automated validation for Akamai's Compute/Meerkat platforms.

You'll design scalable testing frameworks, lead an engineering team, and shape performance criteria across a general compute fleet.

You will partner with developers, SREs, and datacenter operations to optimize reliability, benchmarking, and automation at scale.

This is a hands-on leadership position focused on delivering high-impact, measurable improvements in cloud infrastructure performance.

Define and enforce performance criteria, SLAs, and latency targets for global deployments

Scale and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated regression and performance testing

Collaborate with developers, SRE, datacenter operations, and the Meerkat team to improve performance and resolve bottlenecks

Requisitos principalesDeep understanding of hardware and software performance objectives

Experience analyzing performance telemetry and building predictive models

Proficiency in Python;

experience with Go, Linux/Bash scripting for automation

CI/CD and DevOps integration experience, Jenkins, advanced Git workflows

Strong Linux-based operating systems expertise

Experience using AI to accelerate development tasks leadership and mentoring cross-functional collaboration data-driven decision making
