About the Role Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Oficial de Cumplimiento de Seguridad (Security Compliance Officer) to ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal security policies across the organization. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, conducting audits, and managing the necessary documentation to meet regulatory requirements. You will work closely with various departments to assess compliance status, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the company's information security compliance program.

Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with security policies and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).

Identify compliance gaps and develop action plans for remediation.

Prepare and present compliance reports to management and relevant stakeholders.

Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting information security.





Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure security controls meet compliance requirements.

Manage external audits and certifications processes.

Develop and deliver security awareness training related to compliance.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities and controls.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in information security compliance, auditing, or risk management.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

Experience conducting security audits and gap analyses.

Excellent understanding of risk management principles.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CISSP are highly desirable.
