This is a hands-on leadership role. At first, you'll design core experiences yourself while setting our design direction. As we grow, you'll hire and lead an in-house design team.

You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership, turning business goals, metrics and user needs into a product people love to use every day.

What you'll do

-

- Own the experience. Take full responsibility for UX and UI across all mobile and web products, and make the final call on design decisions.

- Drive discovery. Work with Product to understand users through research, data, funnels and session replays, then turn insights into prioritized hypotheses.

- Experiment fast. Design low-effort experiments and A/B tests with Product and Engineering, learn quickly and iterate without dropping quality.

- Set the craft bar. Deliver flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs and interaction specs, with pixel-perfect execution on everything we ship.

- Build the system. Create and own Scrambly's design language, components and patterns so design stays fast and consistent across platforms.

- Be the voice of the user. Represent design in leadership discussions and challenge product or technical decisions that hurt the experience.

- Lead the function. Manage external partners (agencies, UX writers, researchers), and hire, mentor and grow the internal team as we scale.

What you bring

-

- 7+ years in product design,

with extensive experience on mobile-first consumer products.

- A world-class portfolio showing exceptional UX/UI craft, strong product thinking and end-to-end work shipped at scale.

- Experience as the sole or lead designer with full ownership of design decisions.

- Hands-on experience with user research, usability testing, hypothesis-driven design, rapid prototyping and A/B testing.

- Experience leading or mentoring designers, or managing agencies and external partners.

- The ability to move fast without losing quality, turning ambiguous problems into simple, elegant solutions.

- Confidence presenting and defending your work with leadership and cross-functional teams.

- Skill with animation, transitions and microinteractions, and practical use of AI tools in your design workflow.

- A strong ownership mindset and comfort in a fast-paced, metrics-driven startup.

- English at B2 or above.

Nice to have

-

- Hands-on use of product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog.

- Experience building or scaling a design system across multiple platforms.

- A strong network in the design community.

- A background in mobile apps, gaming, rewards, fintech or marketplaces.

What we offer

-

- A founding leadership role shaping a integral product used by millions.

- Full ownership of product design, from vision to execution.

- The chance to build the design team from scratch.

- Direct collaboration with Product, Engineering and company leadership.

- A fast-paced environment where ideas ship quickly.

- Competitive compensation and flexibility.

Is this you?

This role isn't for designers who prefer isolated features or pure visual execution. xqbhyrx We want a design leader who owns ambiguous problems, makes independent calls and is accountable for outcomes.
