At Airbus UpNext, we fly future technologies at speeds well beyond what seems feasible today. We are hiring a Technical Director (JR10456158) in Getafe, Madrid to lead the engineering and delivery of a world-class HV Ground Test Facility.

Our mission: "Test the Unsafe"

We are engineering a permanent, industrial test facility to push high-voltage electrical architectures to their limits - subjecting R&T; multi-system setups to up to 1 MW and 1500 VDC, parallel and serial arcs, short circuits, and 55,000 ft altitude emulation.

What you will Lead:

- Engineering, commissioning an baseline ownership of a 1.2MVA facility equipped with heavy environmental chambers, high speed DAQ systems and real-time supervisory test automation.




- Ultimate authority for end-to-end enginering baselining and safety sign-off.
- Direction of multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers and staged de-risking test campaigns through to Airbus handover.

A pragmatic, delivery-focused engineering leader in heavy electrical test benches, MW-class R&T; laboratories, HVDC distribution and power electronics ready to thrive in an agile startup-like environment.
