Technical Lead Platform & Infrastructure Operations - contract Technical Lead to lead operations for a newly built, large-scale on-premises infrastructure and Kubernetes platform. This hands-on leadership role covers bare-metal compute, containers, networking and storage, alongside engineering team management and major incident response. Lead automation, CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Git-backed configuration, Ansible and ArgoCD.

Manage and develop engineers, owning the on-call rota and escalation process. Coordinate patching, upgrades and maintenance under change control. Communicate technical issues, risks and decisions clearly to clients and senior stakeholders.

Bare-metal provisioning and server lifecycle management at scale using MAAS, Foreman or equivalent. Strong production Kubernetes administration across multiple clusters, including upgrades, CNI networking and CSI-backed storage. Deep Linux administration across RHEL or Ubuntu, including kernel, driver and performance troubleshooting.

Python, Ansible, ArgoCD, Terraform or Pulumi. Petabyte-scale storage, such as VAST Data, and Kubernetes CSI integration. RHCE, CKA, cloud certifications or ITIL 4 Create, Deliver and Support. #
