Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive underwriting strategies for all general insurance products.

- Establish underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and profitability.

- Collaborate with product development, claims, and sales departments to align strategies.

- Manage reinsurance arrangements related to the general insurance portfolio.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls.

- Represent the underwriting function in senior management meetings and external forums.

Requirements

- Extensive experience (10+ years) in general insurance underwriting, with a proven track record in leadership roles.

- Deep understanding of property, casualty, motor, and other general insurance lines.

- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing profitable underwriting strategies.

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making capabilities.

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.

- Excellent knowledge of risk management principles and insurance market dynamics.

- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACII, FCII or equivalent).

- Experience in Valencia, Valencia or a similar dynamic economic region is advantageous.
