We are currently looking for a MCP Engineer / AI Backend Engineer in Spain.

This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering, AI systems, and modern cloud infrastructure. You will design and build MCP-based services and AI-powered backend systems that support internal teams and production workflows. The position focuses on creating reliable, scalable, and observable AI integrations using TypeScript, Node.js, and serverless edge technologies. Working in a fast-evolving AI environment, you will help shape how AI tools interact with backend services. Design, build, and maintain MCP servers and MCP-based integrations, ensuring reliable communication between AI agents and backend systems

Develop scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js, leveraging frameworks such as Hono, Fastify, NestJS, or Next.js APIs

Build and deploy serverless/edge solutions using Cloudflare Workers and related services (KV, Durable Objects, Queues, R2, D1)

Debug and improve system behavior across MCP infrastructure, backend services, and AI workflows

Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js in backend development

Experience building REST APIs, backend services,



or distributed systems

Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Hono, Fastify, NestJS, or Next.js API routes

Experience with serverless or edge environments, ideally Cloudflare Workers or similar

Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code with strong debugging skills

Strong plus: experience with MCP, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude), tool-based AI workflows, or Cloudflare ecosystem services
