What challenges you’ll be solvingPeople Management & Growth: Lead, mentor, and directly manage the data engineering team, taking responsibility for their career development, hiring, and setting operational standards.
Modern Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines and data lake/lakehouse architectures within a cloud-native product ecosystem.
Self‑Service Data Platform: Drive the transformation of our data infrastructure toward a self‑service model, ensuring high data reliability, governance, versioning, and quality control.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Partner with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate complex real‑world data problems into robust, production‑grade products.
Performance Optimization: Own and optimize end‑to‑end ETL/ELT workflows,



minimizing downtime and ensuring the infrastructure scales pragmatically with the company’s growth.
What you’ll need (Must‑have)Proven People Management

Experience:
Strong track record of directly managing teams of Data Engineers (including 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and team scaling), specifically within Product‑driven or Scale‑up environments. Profiles coming exclusively from traditional IT Consulting or enterprise‑corporate governance will not be considered.
Hands‑on Technical Background: Deep, recent technical depth in cloud‑native data platform engineering, with the ability to participate in technical decisions, code reviews, and pipeline optimization.
Mandatory AWS Cloud Stack: Strong background designing and implementing modern data platforms in cloud environments natively with AWS.
Modern Data Stack Expertise: Solid, production‑grade experience with Kafka, Airflow, dbt, and cloud data warehouses (ideally Redshift, though Snowf
