As Staff Software Quality Engineer you will lead test strategy and automation across multiple teams in a complex, data-intensive, distributed environment. You drive the design and evolution of a scalable automation framework integrated into CI/CD, ensuring reliable quality gates for releases. You’ll mentor engineers, shape testing patterns, and push left quality through Definition of Done and architecture discussions. This role centers on secure, high-velocity software delivery at scale, with a focus on conformance to standards and resilient operations.

• Own the technical test strategy and risk-based coverage across API, contract, integration, end-to-end, regression, performance, and resilience testing
• Own release acceptance from a quality and testing perspective, covering functional and non-functional requirements
• Design, build, and evolve the test automation framework and integrate it into the CI/CD pipeline as fast, reliable quality gates
• Write and review automated tests hands-on, and set coding standards and patterns for contributions to tests
• Embed testability and acceptance criteria in refinement, architecture discussions, and the Definition of Done
• Manage test environments and test data for scalable automation

investigate flaky tests and failures, and drive root-cause fixes
• Provide evidence-based release-readiness input using automation results, quality indicators, and known risks
• Mentor engineers technically and promote quality as a shared Scrum Team responsibility

Responsabilidades
• 8+ years in quality engineering or test automation for complex, distributed platforms with technical leadership in testing
• Experience designing maintainable API, contract, integration, end-to-end, UI, and regression automation integrated with CI/CD
• Proficiency in testing distributed, event-driven, asynchronous workflows with retry and recovery handling
• Testing data transformations and large-volume processing plus performance, xghoner scalability, and resilience
• Strong coding skills in Python, TypeScript, Java or similar; SQL and API proficiency
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD or similar, Playwright or Cypress, API testing tools, and load-testing tools
• Cloud experience with AWS-based services and debugging via logs, metrics, and traces
• Strong communication to influence engineers and stakeholders; excellent English
