- You’ll be the technical expert behind cloud deals: design the architecture, build the demo, answer the hard questions and help win the deal
- The role combines technical expertise with consultative sales skills
- You’ll work mainly with Partners and Sales teams across products, channels, segments and regions

Responsibilities

- Turn customer needs into scalable cloud architectures together with Partners and Sales
- Build prototypes, demos and integration examples that show the solution in action
- Be the go-to technical expert, handling questions, objections and blockers throughout the sales process
- Deliver technical briefings, whiteboard sessions and product messaging to clients
- Guide partners on integration strategy, enterprise architecture, platforms and application infrastructure




- Use technical documentation and admin, development and support consoles to assess solutions and demonstrate capabilities
- Keep Salesforce opportunity records accurate and secure the technical win
- Complete product training and certifications within set timelines

Requirements

- Fluent German and English
- 5+ years in technical sales engineering in cloud computing, or a similar customer-facing role in professional services or systems engineering
- Experience with Big Data, PaaS and IaaS technologies, plus hands-on experience with databases
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills, a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently

Nice to have

- Data technologies: MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, Flume, Hive, Impala
- Linux and web technologies: HTTP, authentication, cookies/sessions, XML, HTML/XHTML, XSLT
- Enterprise networking: DNS, TCP, firewalls, proxy servers, DMZs
- Web development and integration: REST, SOAP, J2EE, servlets, Python, JavaScript, PHP
