Why This Role Matters
TP is seeking a Non-IT Global Category Procurement VP to lead TP's non-IT categories: Professional Services, Travel &
- Expense (T&E;), Real Estate and Facility Management. Reporting to the Group Chief Procurement Officer and leading a team of category managers, this leader will lead the definition of groupwide category strategies, deploy best practices across regions and lead the negotiations with TP's largest non-IT suppliers, operating at the intersection of Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate and Workplace, Operations and the business.
The role places strong emphasis on demand consolidation and cross-regional coordination. The leader will build and govern TP’s Group contracts, identify the spend areas where scale creates value and transition them to global agreements (e.g. training), and ensure category strategies, preferred supplier panels and commercial frameworks are consistently deployed by regional and local procurement teams. In doing so, the leader will deliver the non-IT savings and cost optimization agenda, strengthen supplier and regulatory risk management, and shape a resilient supplier base aligned with TP’s transformation priorities.
As head of a team, the leader will set direction, build capabilities and drive performance, while taking direct ownership of selected local contracts where regional teams lack the capacity or expertise to manage them.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Develop the global non-IT category strategies across Professional Services, T&E;, Real Estate and Facility Management, aligned with TP's corporate, financial and operational objectives.
- Analyze global and regional non-IT spend patterns, contract renewals, statements of work, rate cards, leases, demand drivers and market trends to build and deliver the savings pipeline and cost optimization objectives.
- Consolidate demand and suppliers across regions into Group contracts and preferred supplier panels where scale creates value, and progressively bring to integral level the contracts that benefit from it (e.g. training).
- Lead high-value, executive-level negotiations and tenders with TP's largest non-IT suppliers (master service agreements, statements of work, rate cards, Group frameworks), end to end from request for proposal to supplier selection and award.
- Establish standardized commercial models, contract templates, demand-management controls, intake and approval processes and off-panel governance, and enforce vendor KPIs, SLAs and compliance with security, data privacy, regulatory and contractual requirements in partnership with Legal and Risk.
- Lead and manage a team of category managers (Real Estate &
- Facility Management, Professional Services, T&E;): set objectives,
allocate portfolios and negotiations, run regular performance reviews, and coach and develop them into an autonomous, high-performing category team.
- Delegate day-to-day category management to the team while keeping ownership of category strategies, the largest negotiations and senior stakeholder management.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, savings pipeline tracking and cost optimization reporting for the non-IT categories.
- Manage global Professional Services procurement across consulting, advisory, legal, finance, tax, audit, HR, recruitment, temporary labor, training, marketing and other outsourced services, excluding IT and AI, with a focus on Group panels, rate cards and the largest suppliers.
- Own the T&E; category and the supplier relationships with travel providers (travel management company, airlines, hotels, car rental and rail), and secure improved commercial terms.
- Manage it over time through the T&E; category manager: share best practices, monitor compliance through the centralized booking tool and the T&E; Control Tower, and feed findings back into the T&E; category strategy and supplier negotiations.
- Run Real Estate and Facility Management as a Centre of Excellence: few contracts are managed globally, and the global team provides frameworks, skills, market intelligence and best practices to the regional and site teams who manage most leases and FM contracts.
- Advise regions on how to structure supplier relationships and contracts for key FM services (e.g. cleaning, security, maintenance), including scopes, SLAs and commercial models, and standardize them across sites.
- Lead a limited number of contracts and negotiations directly (e.g. multi-site or multi-country FM contracts, major lease renegotiations), in support of the site footprint strategy and in partnership with the Real Estate and Workplace function.
- Clarify and apply the split of roles with regional and local procurement teams: the global team sets category strategies, frameworks and Group contracts and leads the largest negotiations, while regional and local teams manage local contracts within these frameworks, with the global team acting as a sparring partner.
- Take over selected local contracts that regional teams are not in a position to manage, due to capacity or expertise, and ensure knowledge transfer where relevant.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, Real Estate and Workplace, Operations and business leaders to ensure non-IT procurement is integrated into business planning and demand governance.
Your Roadmap to Success (First Year Key Objectives)
- Complete a baseline non-IT spend and leakage diagnostic across regions and categories, including supplier fragmentation, off-panel and out-of-policy spend, statement-of-work and rate-card quality, lease and FM contract coverage, and a mapping of contracts by level (Group, regional, local).
- Translate the diagnostic into a prioritized non-IT savings pipeline with confirmed initiatives, accountable owners, implementation milestones and value tracking mechanisms.
- Define with the Global CPO and regional procurement leads ways of working split and distribution of contract focus
- Build and maintain a contract renewal, lease,
statement-of-work and rate-card review calendar across major non-IT suppliers to anticipate negotiation windows.
- Renegotiate terms with the top suppliers across categories, and establish preferred supplier panels and standardized commercial models for priority categories.
- Structure the category team: clarify portfolios and objectives for the three category managers, set up management routines, assess capabilities and launch development plans.
- Finalize the Travel Policy with HR, strengthen the T&E; Control Tower and accelerate adoption of the centralized booking tool across regions, eliminating out-of-policy booking.
- Set up the Real Estate and Facility Management Centre of Excellence offering (frameworks, guidelines, e.g. for cleaning contracts) and support the site footprint strategy with a prioritized plan, in partnership with the Real Estate and Workplace function.
