Overview

Lead and support the migration of ETL jobs and databases from on-premises to AWS, combining hands-on development with expert guidance for the team. You will design and implement cloud ETL solutions, validate data quality and compliance, and ensure production readiness and ongoing support. This role emphasizes collaboration with data analysts and architects to preserve data integrity while scaling to the cloud. You’ll work with AWS Glue, data warehouses, and orchestration tools to replicate on-prem processes in a cloud environment, driving data-driven decisions and operational excellence.

Responsabilidades

- Migrate ETL jobs and databases from on-premises to AWS and design cloud equivalents
- Develop ETL solutions using DataStage/Informatica, Python, Perl, and Korn Shell on Unix/Linux
- Build and orchestrate AWS Glue PySpark ETL processes to load data into Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL
- Develop scalable full-stack applications and APIs as needed
- Perform data analysis/validation to ensure accuracy and support decisions
- Collaborate with data analysts and architects to improve data quality and compliance




- Automate ETL processes and orchestration across on-premises and cloud environments
- Provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and data integrity assurance
- Document data mappings, data flows, APIs, and support procedures
- Communicate technical concepts to larger audiences and participate in code reviews
- Ensure data and application security and compliance with regulations

Requisitos principales

- 8+ years of ETL development, data warehousing, AWS cloud services and API development
- Strong experience with DataStage or Informatica, Shell scripting, Perl and Python
- APIs development using REST and SOAP
- Advanced AWS skills (Glue, Step Functions, Airflow DAGs, Lambda, S3, EC2)
- SQL proficiency with on-premises DB2 on AIX and AWS databases (RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, Redshift)
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Data analysis/validation using Python, Excel, Tableau
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
