We are looking for an Operating Officer to join our leadership team.

Reporting directly to the CEO and shareholders, the Operating Officer is in charge of running the company's day-to-day operations across all our offices and business lines and ensures sound financial control. You have to possess a genuine passion for innovation and business, and be highly analytical and data-driven. You must be a natural leader and team player, highly organised, and keen to take on full responsibility for results.

Key qualities include an entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgement, uncompromising integrity, and a high degree of stamina to work within an ambitious and goal-driven environment. In this role, you will be responsible for translating the company's strategy into efficient, scalable operations, and for driving service delivery, people and process excellence, while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. In addition, you will act as the CEO's right hand, supporting key strategic decisions and representing the company.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operational leadership: Translating company strategy into operating plans, objectives, and KPIs; leading day-to-day operations across all departments in all territories.
- Service delivery and client excellence: Overseeing the quality, timeliness,



and consistency of sales processes and service delivery.
- Process and performance management: Designing scalable processes, systems, and tools that improve organisational efficiency, effectiveness and client outcomes; overseeing resource planning, capacity management, and project profitability.
- Cross-functional coordination: Aligning all departments, including sales, consulting, marketing, HR, and admin teams around shared priorities; ensuring clear communication, accountability, and collaboration across functions and territories.
- People and organisation: Working with HR to strengthen organisational structure, hiring plans, performance management, and leadership development.
- Financial control and compliance: Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; ensuring robust internal controls, healthy cash flow, and compliance across multiple legal entities, working closely with the admin team and external accountants and auditors. Acting as legal representative where required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Education: Master's Degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines. An MBA or qualification in finance or accounting is advantageous.
- Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Skills: Strong operational leadership, process improvement, and change management skills; solid competence in financial control, budgeting, and forecasting; exceptional analytical and reporting skills; strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience with direct responsibility for budgets and financial performance, ideally within a consulting firm. Experience managing teams and entities across multiple countries is required; familiarity with EU or US public funding programmes (such as the EIC Accelerator or SBIR/STTR) is a plus.
