Job DescriptionAs the Senior Director, Business Development you will build a thorough understanding of our wide variety of customers, including EPC companies, solar project developers, independent power producers (IPPs), and major financial institutions. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.Key Job ResponsibilitiesStrengthen customer relationships through a deeper understanding of their business objectives and how Array can support themCreate and manage annual sales plans for our largest customersHelpcustomers, contractors, and industry players understand what makes our products different and betterProactively learn upcoming customer activities and projectsUnderstand in depth each prospective customer's concerns and decision variablesLead RFQ responses and close salesDefine and develop proposals which maintain or enhance market share.Help address particularly challenging customer requirements or field issuesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering7+ years of experience in technical sales with a superior sales track record working with customers on a proactive and positive basis to solve their problems and complete transactions3+ years hands on computer experience with email, Salesforce, PowerPoint, and WordExcellent written, presentation and conversational skillsPreferred qualificationsMaster's of Business Administration (MBA)Sales experience with an economically differentiated industrial productAbility to lead, manage, mentor and inspire othersExperience in the solar, renewables, or power generation equipment marketAbilityto communicate technical product attributes and economic value propositionAbility to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced, smaller company environmentAt ARRAY, we believe in cultivating and inspiring leadership, teamwork and creativity among all our team members.
