About the role

Alpaca's website is the first place to interact with us for most. As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Acquisition team, you will help make that experience faster, clearer, and easier to improve with data. You will also build tools that help teams across Alpaca publish content themselves.

You will bring strong frontend skills and product thinking to a fast-growing, cross-functional team. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and close collaboration across Design, Marketing, Engineering, and regional teams.

Things you'll do





Design and build a modern, high-traffic general website using React and TypeScript

Solve challenging problems in rendering, caching, content delivery, and web performance

Build reusable publishing capabilities for regional and localized experiences

Build reliable measurement, explore how customers use the website, and lay the foundation for experimentation

Work with Design to build polished, accessible, and search-friendly experiences using a shared design system

Own complex improvements from the initial idea through launch, debugging, and measurement

What we're looking for

Must haves

5+ years of experience building frontend applications with TypeScript and React

Experience building or evolving a high-traffic, content-heavy website serving multiple regions

Experience with CMS platforms, content modeling, publishing workflows, or self-service content tools

Strong knowledge of accessibility and technical SEO

Deep knowledge of web performance, rendering, caching, content delivery, and modern frontend architecture

Experience using web analytics to understand and improve customer experiences

Experience creating reusable components, layouts, and content patterns with Design

Clear communication and experience leading complex work across Engineering, Design, and business teams

Nice to haves

Experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing

Experience with Cloudflare, CDNs, edge infrastructure

Experience owning or contributing to a shared design system

Experience working in regulated industries such as fintech or financial services
