OverviewIn this role you help build Aeron Sequencer, a distributed, replicated-state-machine platform for capital markets.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design and optimize systems that other engineers rely on for performance and reliability.

You'll influence product decisions, architecture, and engineering practices while delivering clean, maintainable Java code.

This is a hands-on role focused on solving hard problems at scale and communicating technical choices clearly.

You will operate at the intersection of technology, performance, and financial markets, making a meaningful impact on how we deliver value.

ResponsabilidadesAnalyse, design and implement distributed systems based on replicated state machines

Develop clean, efficient Java code with self-documenting characteristics

Design and evolve messaging protocols and libraries

Troubleshoot and debug Java applications and distributed systems

Apply testing, benchmarking, measurement, and profiling to improve correctness and performance

Participate in code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions to improve quality





Contribute to product decisions beyond task execution

Stay updated with relevant software engineering technologies and practices

Communicate technical decisions and priorities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requisitos principalesExperience building, debugging, and operating distributed systems

Strong experience developing server-side Java

Experience designing/revising messaging protocols or libraries

Experience using different forms of testing to support quality (correctness and performance)

Experience measuring, benchmarking, and profiling components or systems

Strong written and verbal communication skills
