The role We are looking for a motivated Junior Legal Officer to join our Legal & Compliance team. You will work closely with our Legal & Compliance team and our Project Managers, supporting both the company's own legal and compliance needs and client-facing legal and compliance projects in the area of patient engagement. It's a hands-on role with a lot of variety: from contracts and policies to project delivery, client communication and workshops.

Key responsibilities
Legal advice, contracts & research
· Support the Senior Legal & Compliance Manager in drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal agreements for the company and its clients in the area of patient engagement.
· Seek external legal advice where needed.
· Research legal and compliance topics affecting patient engagement and patient advocacy.
· Monitor applicable laws and stay up to date on legal changes.
· Assist with any other contractual, compliance or corporate legal matters of the company and its clients as needed. Templates, policies & compliance
· Help develop, implement and update the company's legal templates and processes.
· Support the development, implementation and updating of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
· Support the company's data protection compliance, including data processing agreements, privacy notices, records of processing, first handling of data subject requests, etc.
· Review patient-facing materials (e.g. surveys, consent forms) for legal, compliance and data protection requirements.
· Contribute to the development and review of legal AI and digital tools.
· Assess AI and digital tools for legal and data protection compliance.
· Make sure legal templates, processes and internal compliance policies and procedures are properly stored and accessible.




· Help create PowerPoint presentations on legal and compliance matters. Legal & compliance projects for clients
· Help plan, manage and deliver legal and compliance projects for clients, including content development, report writing, budgeting, coordination, administration and meeting logistics (virtual and face-to-face).
· Assist in preparing proposals and project budgets and track progress on legal and compliance projects.
· Support project acquisition and client management, and help develop, present and pitch legal and compliance projects to clients.
· Help coordinate, contact and involve external partners, consultants and suppliers.
· Monitor milestones and deadlines and report on progress.
· Proactively follow up on open actions, tasks and urgent priorities across projects and the team.
· Support client communication, including interim progress reports and updates for both clients and the Patvocates team.
· Assist in moderating trainings, focus groups, workshops and other meetings.
· Monitor correspondence with clients, suppliers and the Patvocates team on legal and compliance matters.
· Report regularly to the Senior Legal & Compliance Manager. Required skills & experience
· A degree in Law (LL.
B., LL.
M., Staatsexamen or equivalent); a focus on health, life sciences, data protection or compliance is a plus.
· First experience (internship, traineeship or junior role) in a legal, compliance or consultancy setting, ideally in healthcare, pharma or the non-profit sector.
· Working knowledge of the GDPR; familiarity with the EU AI Act or pharmaceutical law is a plus.
· Strong drafting and research skills, with sharp attention to detail.
· Organised, proactive and comfortable juggling several projects and deadlines.
· Clear communicator, confident with clients, partners and colleagues.




· Excellent written and spoken English; German and/or other European languages are an advantage.
· Good command of MS Office (especially Word and PowerPoint).
· Genuine interest in patient advocacy, health policy and patient engagement.
· Confident user of AI tools; an interest in legal tech is a plus.
