Hiring in Spain | Technical Sales Manager, Southern Europe | Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS)

I’m partnering with a genomics company to appoint a Spain-based Technical Sales Manager to grow its NGS business across Southern Europe.

You’ll take ownership of sales across the territory, with two priorities: winning new laboratory customers and growing revenue from existing accounts. I’m keen to speak with people who are as comfortable opening a new account and negotiating an order as they are discussing library preparation or assay selection with a sequencing team.

What you’ll be doing

- Win new business. Identify laboratories running or expanding NGS workflows, build relationships with decision-makers and manage opportunities from the first conversation through to close.
- Lead technical sales discussions. Work with scientists and laboratory directors to understand their sample types, throughput and assay requirements, then explain where the portfolio fits.
- Turn evaluations into orders.



Agree with the lab on what a successful evaluation looks like, follow up on the results and work with procurement to secure the business.
- Grow existing accounts. Stay close to customers as their testing volumes or applications change, identifying opportunities for repeat orders and wider adoption.
- Own the territory plan. Prioritise accounts across Southern Europe, maintain a qualified pipeline and deliver against sales targets.

Who I’d like to hear from You’ll bring a track record of winning business in genomics or molecular diagnostics, alongside practical experience with NGS. That experience could come from selling sequencing products directly or from working with NGS in the lab before moving into a quota-carrying sales role.
