Overview

As a Senior Network Engineer at Equinix, you will lead key parts of large-scale data center and cloud migration initiatives, ensuring secure, reliable network operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will design migrations across AWS and Azure, automate provisioning, and guide architecture and security collaboration. Your work drives network redesigns, resiliency testing, and certificate lifecycle management in line with enterprise standards. This role offers impact across integral data center migrations and modernization efforts.

Responsabilidades

- Lead cloud and Extranet migrations (AWS, Azure, and others) across data centers
- Design and implement cloud networking (VPCs/VNets, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, VPN, routing)
- Automate network provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Python in CI/CD
- Troubleshoot complex network/connectivity issues during migrations and serve as escalation point
- Define firewall rules, dependency mapping, and routing validations for migrated workloads
- Lead network redesigns and maintain accurate technical documentation and diagrams
- Prepare and present PSA and ARB submissions and ensure service acceptance




- Manage SSL certificate renewals on NetScaler and F5 and automate where possible
- Plan redundancy and failover testing across on-prem and cloud environments
- Mentor mid-level engineers and promote network automation best practices

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years hands-on network engineering with large-scale data center and cloud migrations
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN/IPsec, NAT, DNS, DHCP
- AWS networking experience (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, SGs, NACLs)
- Azure networking experience (VNets, peering, ExpressRoute, Firewall, NSGs, Load Balancer)
- Experience with multi-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP/OCI)
- IaC experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Automation with Ansible and Python; CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Experience with F5 and NetScaler load balancers and SSL management
- Experience with enterprise firewalls/proxies and vulnerability management tools
