Project Summary We are looking for a Project Product Manager to join a 7-person IT team (2 PMs, 5 developers) supporting short-term energy trading and renewable operations.
The team maintains business-critical in-house applications where any issue can directly impact the business, so priorities change daily between regulatory projects, larger projects and ad-hoc requests from business owners.
The role is the first filter between the business and the developers, with a hands-on profile able to support the team technically when needed.
Requirements Main Responsibilities - Sit with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, and translate them into functional specs and Jira tickets.
- Prioritise and balance incoming requests, incidents and project work across the developers (Kanban).
- Take part in the on-call rotation:
triage user-reported issues in the support chat and assign them, or solve simple ones directly.
- Coordinate and communicate releases, and trigger deployments through existing automated pipelines.
- Unblock the team by chasing dependencies with infrastructure, network and other IT teams.
- Prepare functional documentation and track and report on project progress.
Mandatory Experience: - 4+ years as Project Manager, Product Owner or similar in IT environments - Experience coordinating a development team day to day with Kanban/Agile and Jira - Hands-on technical profile: incident analysis, small fixes, running pipelines and deployments (no development role, but comfortable getting into the detail) - Working knowledge of cloud architecture (Azure and/or AWS) used in day-to-day operations - Understanding of software architecture, APIs and data flows, to discuss on equal terms with developers Preferred Experience: - Knowledge of energy markets or trading environments - Familiarity with Python and Angular Education University degree in Engineering or a similar technical field, and/or relevant IT sector experience.
