About the Role

Our client, a prominent Tier 1 automotive supplier situated in León, Guanajuato, MX , is actively seeking a dedicated and meticulous Automotive Quality Engineer. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing quality systems, conducting audits, analyzing quality data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
- Manage customer complaints and returns, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurrence.




- Lead quality improvement projects using methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) processes to ensure quality is built in from the start.
- Prepare quality reports for management and customers.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, specifically within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Experience with IATF 16949 standards is essential.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with auditing processes.
- Based in or willing to relocate to León, Guanajuato, MX.
