Founded in 2011, Kraken is one of the world’s longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions globally. We work primarily in React Native to make complex financial experiences intuitive, fast, and trustworthy. Build and own high-quality React Native features end to end, from ambiguous client problems and solution design through implementation, launch, measurement, and iteration
Work with APIs and dynamic or real-time data, making strong decisions on state management, rendering, performance, architecture, and reliability
Act as the team’s subject-matter guide on regional UX and design expectations, practical approaches to firewall and connectivity restrictions, and appropriate vendors and tooling such as telemetry solutions
Strong React Native experience, including shipping meaningful production applications and making sound architectural and implementation decisions in a modern mobile codebase
Experience building responsive, data-rich applications using APIs and dynamic or real-time data,



alongside close collaboration with Product and Design in written and verbal English
You are comfortable wearing multiple hats and use tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude to work faster while retaining responsibility for engineering judgment and quality
You understand the region’s UX and design conventions, its technical limitations, and how to navigate launch challenges including firewall and connectivity restrictions. Experience with real-time or streaming data, and improving mobile application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across a range of devices
Experience across both mobile and web, or in a startup or small-to-medium-sized technology company where engineers work closely with Product and Design
Native mobile experience in Swift or Kotlin, including sound judgment about when to work below the React Native layer
Chinese language proficiency, such as Mandarin, or another Asian language
