About the OpportunityAt Kovacic Executive Talent, we are building a network of experienced Critical Facilities Engineers for potential opportunities within the data center sector in Spain.

We are looking for professionals with strong technical backgrounds in operating, maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor and maintain critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure within data center environments.
- Oversee UPS systems, backup generators, power distribution, cooling systems and HVAC equipment.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure operational reliability.
- Monitor critical infrastructure through BMS, DCIM and other facility management systems.
- Identify, investigate and resolve technical incidents while minimizing operational risks and downtime.
- Coordinate external maintenance providers and technical contractors.
- Support commissioning, testing and operational readiness activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, maintenance records and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and operational standards.

Requirements
- Degree or technical qualification in Electrical,



Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in critical facilities, data center operations or comparable mission-critical environments.
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution, UPS, generators, cooling and HVAC systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and incident management.
- Familiarity with BMS, DCIM or CMMS platforms.
- Advanced English (minimum C1 preferred) for technical communication and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-availability environments.

Nice to Have
- Previous experience in hyperscale, colocation or enterprise data centers.
- Knowledge of Tier III/IV infrastructure and redundancy concepts.
- Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS or equivalent technical qualifications.
- Experience with commissioning, integrated systems testing and critical infrastructure upgrades.
