Overview

As Operations Manager in our Barcelona Meat & Dairy plant, you will lead Production, Maintenance, Warehouse and Technical Services to drive safety, quality and cost performance. You will steer operational targets, continuous improvement programs and customer service excellence, reporting to the Plant General Manager. You’ll shape the site’s safety culture and manage a multi-functional team to deliver value across the supply chain. This role offers scope to influence cross-site practices and introduce new technologies.

Responsabilidades

- Lead safety performance and drive health, safety and environment initiatives at the plant
- Oversee production, maintenance and related operations to meet budgets and change programs
- Set goals and project plans for line managers focused on efficiency and continuity
- Define and monitor KPIs to control process performance and quality
- Lead engineering and operations activities and promote continuous improvement
- Collaborate with SMT, HR and PGM on industrial relations and staffing decisions




- Promote Amcor values and best-practice sharing across plants
- Support apprenticeship programs and training initiatives
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and assess new equipment opportunities
- Ensure high levels of customer service and product quality

Requisitos principales

- Minimum 5 years of operations/manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment
- Degree in an associated subject preferred
- Change management experience
- Lean and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Knowledge of production machines, process control, energy management, GMPs, SAP and shop floor systems
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations and basic finance concepts
