RF & Communications Systems Engineer - Advanced Aerospace Technology | Teruel, Aragón, Spain (Spanish & English speaker required)

Full time on-site requirement in Teruel, no remote or hybrid working. Relocation assistance offered.

I'm currently supporting an innovative engineering organisation developing next-generation high-altitude platforms, and we're looking to identify an experienced RF & Communications Systems Engineer to join its growing engineering team.

This is an opportunity for a technically capable engineer with a solid background in RF communications and networking to play an important role in the development and integration of onboard communication systems.

The focus is on ensuring reliable communications between the various systems, sensors and equipment onboard the platform, alongside the communication links connecting the aircraft to its ground-based control systems.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the development and integration of onboard communications and networking systems, working across RF technologies, network infrastructure and electromagnetic compatibility.

Key areas of focus include:

- RF Communications: Experience with satellite communications (Satcom), point-to-point radio links and an understanding of emerging mesh networking technologies.
- Onboard Networking: Designing and integrating communication networks connecting embedded systems, sensors, payloads and other onboard equipment.
- Ground Communications: Communication systems and links connecting the airborne platform with its ground-based control and operations systems.
- EMI Mitigation: Understanding electromagnetic interference (EMI),



its impact on integrated systems and approaches to mitigation.
- Systems Integration: Working collaboratively with wider engineering teams to ensure communication systems are reliable, robust and suitable for deployment.
- Engineering Development: Supporting the transition of existing designs through testing, validation and into production-ready configurations.

About You

We're looking for a practical, technically grounded engineer who brings a combination of RF communications and networking experience.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A strong engineering background in RF communications and/or communication systems.
- Practical experience with Satcom and point-to-point communication technologies.
- Good understanding of network architecture and integration across distributed systems.
- Experience working with embedded networks, interconnected devices or complex hardware environments.
- An understanding of EMI, electromagnetic compatibility and mitigation techniques.
- The ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams and translate technical requirements into practical solutions.

Experience within aerospace, aviation, UAVs, defence, telecommunications or other technically demanding environments would be advantageous.
