Financial Controller / Senior Accountant

About the Role

Polo Valley is a growing hospitality, equestrian and real estate group based in Sotogrande, with an international corporate structure.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the group's accounting, financial administration and day-to-day financial management.

We want someone who genuinely cares about the detail, is naturally careful with money, challenges unnecessary costs and takes pride in keeping financial matters organised.

This is an independent and varied role, working closely with the Founder and management team. We value initiative, discretion and someone who takes responsibility for solving problems rather than simply reporting them.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounting, tax filings and statutory compliance, coordinating with external advisers where necessary.

- Oversee cash flow, financial reporting, budgeting and bank reconciliations.

- Manage debtors, creditors, supplier payments and cost control.

- Oversee intercompany accounting and coordinate financial administration across international group entities.

- Support the Founder with confidential financial and administrative matters.

- Improve financial systems, procedures and internal controls.

About You
- Strong experience in Spanish accounting, taxation and financial administration.

- Experience with Xero,



or the ability to become proficient quickly.

- Highly organised, meticulous and commercially minded.

- Proactive, independent and confident challenging costs and resolving issues.

- Comfortable working across multiple companies and with international advisers.

- Fluent Spanish and good working English.

- Trustworthy, discreet and looking for a long-term position.
