We are seeking a Cloud AI Platform Engineer to join a strategic transformation programme within the energy sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in building, supporting, and optimising AI-enabled cloud platforms and data processing environments.

Working closely with platform teams, data scientists, and solution architects, you will contribute to the delivery of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure supporting advanced analytics and AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cloud-native AI and data platform solutions within AWS

Design and manage containerised workloads using Kubernetes

Build, enhance, and support automated workflows using Apache Airflow

Develop Python-based applications, automation scripts, and platform services

Implement platform monitoring, alerting, and visualisation solutions using Grafana

Support the deployment and operationalisation of machine learning models

Work alongside engineering and business teams to deliver reliable platform capabilities

Contribute to platform optimisation, scalability, and performance improvements

Assist with troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis





Promote cloud engineering and operational best practices

Required Experience

Proven experience in AI Engineering, Platform Engineering, MLOps, Data Engineering, or Machine Learning Infrastructure

Strong hands-on AWS experience

Extensive Kubernetes administration and deployment experience

Advanced Python development skills

Experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration

Strong knowledge of Grafana monitoring and observability solutions

Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and DevOps methodologies

Experience working within Agile project environments

Preferred Experience

Previous experience within the energy, utilities, renewables, power generation, or oil & gas industries

Exposure to AI/ML lifecycle management and MLOps practices

Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform

Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud platforms
