Remote IT Project Manager - Cybersecurity Focus

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, particularly those related to cybersecurity initiatives (e.g., implementing new security solutions, vulnerability assessments, incident response planning).
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Manage project execution, monitoring progress against plans and addressing any deviations promptly.




- Ensure that all cybersecurity projects adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and security consultants.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive reports to senior leadership.
- Foster a collaborative and productive remote working environment for project teams.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years focused on cybersecurity projects.
- Proven experience managing projects related to network security, data protection, cloud security, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and threat landscapes.
- PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent project management and cybersecurity certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience working effectively in a 100% remote environment with distributed teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and collaboration tools.
- Ability to think strategically and translate complex security requirements into actionable project plans.
