Overview

In this role you will plan, prepare and run engine test campaigns, ensuring reliable data and safe operation. You will work with plant teams, instrumentation and automation colleagues, and external experts to prepare engines and systems for testing. You’ll troubleshoot issues, contribute to improvement initiatives, and lead a small operator team during tests. This position supports the decarbonisation mission through robust testing and continuous methodological improvements.

Responsabilidades

- Plan, prepare and execute engine tests under various conditions following guidelines and protocols
- Report and document test results and prepare technical reports for stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze test data, identify anomalies and propose corrective actions
- Collaborate with plant teams, I&M; and RDE experts to ensure readiness and successful testing
- Manage technical issues and support operational decisions
- Lead and supervise the mechanic-operator team, assign tasks and ensure proper execution
- Maintain safety by enforcing protocols and proactively mitigating risks




- Participate in progress meetings with the Manager Engine Testing to align on priorities
- Contribute to innovation and process improvement in engine testing methodologies

Requisitos principales
- Degree in electronic/automation, mechanical, energy, or industrial engineering with experience in internal combustion engines
- Strong planning, organizational and coordination abilities in an industrial environment
- Ability to interpret and validate electrical, hydraulic and automation diagrams
- Sound technical decision-making under pressure to keep projects on schedule
- Proficiency in data acquisition and analysis tools
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
- Proactive, autonomous, and safety-focused with capability to work in high-pressure environments
- Fluent in Spanish and English
