Experteer Overview You will drive ontologies and semantic data standards for PSTS, shaping reusable semantic models across PSTS and other Ru0026amp;D functions. In this role, you work with scientists and data professionals to standardize terminology and enable data discovery, integration, and analytics. You’ll build and maintain ontology modules that connect research data to broader pipelines, supporting AI-ready data ecosystems. Your work directly enhances evidence reuse and cross-functional collaboration, contributing to safer and more effective medicines. Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, develop, test, and maintain ontology modules and controlled vocabularies for PSTS workflows (toxicology, safety assessment, PK/PD, translational research)
• Collaborate with PSTS scientists to capture concepts and translate them into semantic models
• Harmonize terminology across projects and data sources while preserving important distinctions
• Create mappings between project terminology, shared ontologies, and external standards to maximize reuse
• Serve as primary ontology resource for PSTS teams, supporting requirements gathering, semantic annotation, data mapping, and issue resolution
• Assist data engineers and platform teams to embed ontology terms into data products and metadata systems
• Provide documentation, examples, and training to promote standardized terminology adoption
• Maintain a prioritized backlog of ontology enhancements aligned with PSTS needs
• Collaborate with peer ontologists and data teams across discovery, development, and therapeutic areas
• Establish shared definitions linking PSTS evidence with upstream/downstream data
• Identify opportunities to reuse ontology components and improve cross-study integration
• Apply modeling guidelines, naming conventions, persistent identifiers, version control, and release practices
• Maintain traceable definitions, mappings, provenance, and documentation of modeling decisions
• Assess impact of ontology changes on consuming projects and coordinate updates Responsabilidades
• Master's degree or Ph.
D. in Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining ontologies, controlled vocabularies, semantic models, or knowledge graphs for scientific/biomedical applications
• Experience with ontology development tools (e.g., Protégé, OWL/RDF), version control, and scripting for data transformation and validation
• Ability to translate scientific requirements into clear, reusable semantic structures
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a matrixed environment Requisitos principales
• pension plan
• 401(k) plan
• vacation time
