OverviewIn this role you will lead the development of Pathfinder, a strategic Life Sciences platform.

You will drive architectural decisions within a cross-functional team, delivering a modern, scalable backend and improving engineering practices.

You will mentor engineers and steer a greenfield product from concept to production, aligning with long-term platform strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership role in an agile environment that aims to accelerate delivery and impact the life sciences industry.

ResponsabilidadesDesign, develop, and maintain Java backend services and APIs within a microservices architecture

Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java and Spring Boot





Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on AWS, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code following backend best practices

Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems for reliability and performance

Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams

Requisitos principales5 years of experience with Java (Spring Boot) and NodeJS and backend RESTful services in microservices

Experience with SQL, Elastic Search and AWS

5 years of experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Good knowledge of Version Control tools (preferably Git)

Experience in Agile delivery environments, Docker, and Jenkins
