About Picster

Picster is a travel photography marketplace. Travellers book a local photographer in the place they’re visiting, and we handle everything around it — the booking, the customer, the editing and the delivery. We’re live in 77 destinations worldwide and Lanzarote is one of the destinations where we're growing our photographer network.

Our customers are mostly couples, families and people marking something: an anniversary, a proposal, a first trip somewhere together. They want good photographs of themselves in a place they love, without the faff of organising a shoot abroad.

The work

This is contract work, shoot by shoot. Each booking is its own contract — you see the job, you accept it, you shoot it. No rota, no minimum commitment, so it sits alongside your existing client work rather than competing with it.

Sessions run from 30 minutes up to 90 minutes. Most are short and straightforward. Some are longer and more bespoke — bigger families, hotel visits, several locations, specific requests — and those give you more room to get creative.

The focus is relaxed, natural holiday photography. Think couples walking along the beach, families playing by the water, children laughing and those spontaneous moments that make a holiday memorable. You're there to help people feel comfortable, guide them when needed and capture them having a genuinely good time.

Where you’ll shoot

- Puerto del Carmen and the beaches around Avenida de las Playas
- The beachfront near the White Cactus Sculpture
- Sandy shores and the water's edge for relaxed couple and family portraits
- Scenic coastal spots for natural holiday photographs
- Hotel locations for longer packages
- Bespoke requests that take you further afield

There's no fixed walking route. We trust you to know the area, find the best light and choose locations that work for each customer. The meeting point for the Lanzarote Essentials shoot is the White Cactus Sculpture on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen.

What it pays

€50 per hour, on every booking.



A 30-minute session pays €25. A one-hour session pays €50. A 90-minute session pays €75.

There's also genuine upside through post-shoot upselling. Customers have the opportunity to purchase additional photographs after their session, with a €25 contract price for the post-shoot upsell and an expected conversion rate of 50%.

The photographers who make customers feel comfortable, capture a great variety of photographs and deliver an enjoyable experience help create more opportunities for additional purchases.

Who we’re looking for

- A working photographer based in or around Lanzarote, ideally near Puerto del Carmen, who knows the beaches and their light
- Comfortable with people — couples, families, children and the occasional nervous proposer
- Your own professional camera kit
- Confident directing people naturally, helping with poses and capturing candid moments
- Comfortable shooting outdoors, around the water and in changing light
- Reliable. Turning up on time, every time, matters more here than anything else
- Enough English to look after an international customer. Spanish obviously useful

You don't need a studio or a wedding portfolio. You need to make people look good outdoors, quickly, and be easy to deal with.

How it works

You shoot. We do the rest — the customer, the booking, the payment, the editing and the delivery. Edited photographs reach the customer within 48 hours, so you're not losing your evenings to post-production.

Depending on the booking, customers receive 20, 50 or 75 edited photographs, with the option to purchase more afterwards.

You'll work as a self-employed contractor and invoice us for completed shoots. You keep your own clients and work for whoever else you like.
