AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and operate cloud-native web applications and infrastructure supporting pharmaceutical R&D.; The role combines product engineering, AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and quality practices to accelerate medicine delivery while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate full-stack web applications and RESTful APIs using React and TypeScript/Node.js or Python
- Own AWS infrastructure definitions using CDK; design secure, scalable multi-account and multi-region environments
- Create robust GitHub Actions workflows with reusable actions, environment promotions, and automated rollback capabilities
- Lead quality engineering with Cucumber-based BDD, Playwright end-to-end testing, and contract testing across services
- Embed traceability and validation into pipelines to generate audit-ready evidence while maintaining delivery velocity

Requirements





- Proficiency with React and TypeScript/Node.js or Python for full-stack development
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK and core services including IAM, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, and RDS/DynamoDB
- Strong GitHub Actions workflow experience with multi-environment promotion and rollback strategies
- Practical experience with Cucumber, Playwright, and contract testing; tests as first-class artifacts
- Working knowledge of GxP expectations including traceability, validation, and audit-ready evidence generation
- Experience designing and integrating systems using Model Context Protocol patterns for tool orchestration
- Demonstrated Jira proficiency for backlog management, sprint planning, and clear acceptance criteria
