Reporting to Team Lead R&D; Operations/ Team Lead Seed Production/ Agronomist Purpose Ensure the effective routine care and treatment of crops, contributing to the success of plant breeding programs. Maintain a healthy, safe working environment while adhering to breeding protocols. Key Accountabilities
* Care and treatment of crops and trials.
* Execution of emasculations and crossings according crossing scheme
* Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
* Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
* Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.
* Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment.
* Works independently
* Thorough knowledge of processes in plant and greenhouse
* Work includes simple administrative tasks
* Responsible for own projects, overview en communication towards Breeders
* Planning and execution of own, more complex programmes
* Functional guidance of less experienced Crop Workers (level 1 and 2) and seasonal workers
* Direct point of contact for colleauges outside own department
* Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience
