Nupik by deSter is a relevant player in foodservice packaging and tableware. As we expand our operations, we are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to grow and excel in a dynamic environment. Today, our procurement activities are primarily focused on raw materials and traded goods. As our organization continues to grow, the scope is expanding to include auxiliary materials (factory consumables and spare parts) and indirect spend (services and internal purchases). We are looking for a proactive, hands-on professional who can establish efficient purchasing processes, expand and strengthen our supplier network, and identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve performance, and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Growing the Department & Building Processes
• Expand our purchasing scope from direct materials to auxiliary supplies and indirect spend.
• Create and implement simple, clear purchasing procedures and approval rules across the company.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while safeguarding quality and service levels. Finding New Suppliers & Market Benchmarking
• Search for new local and international suppliers to secure better prices and avoid relying on single vendors.
• Benchmark our purchasing costs, products, and terms against competitors and market trends.
• Run tenders, request quotes (RFQs), and evaluate new vendor capabilities through visits and quality checks. 3. Purchasing & Supplier Management
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions across all categories.




• Work closely with suppliers to ensure good communication, high quality, and on-time delivery.
• Resolve supplier issues, lead-time delays, or quality complaints quickly. 4. Supply Chain & Operations
• Work with production and planning teams to maintain healthy stock levels without over-purchasing.
• Coordinate transport and customs to make sure materials arrive on time.
• Keep our ERP system (such as SAP) updated with accurate prices, orders, and delivery dates. 5. Compliance & Packaging Rules
• Ensure all purchased packaging and materials meet European food contact and packaging regulations (such as PPWR).
• Collect and organize technical sheets and sustainability certificates from vendors. 6. Leadership

•

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
•

Experience:
4–6+ years in procurement or supply chain, ideally in packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG Core Competencies:
• Proactive: Strong sourcing mindset with a proven ability to identify, comparing prices, and staying ahead of the market
• Process-oriented and capable of establishing structure, procedures, and best practices within a growing organization.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP systems (like SAP – Microsoft Dynamics) and daily work in Excel.
• Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish ( written and spoken)
