About us
We build the measurement layer for agricultural sustainability: carbon footprints for the livestock industry using our own certified models, biodiversity assessment from remote sensing, and emissions reduction planning. Our customers are agri-food processors and cooperatives measuring the environmental impact of thousands of farms. The role As we grow, we want to professionalise our finance setup further and free up management time for the business. We're hiring a controller to own the numbers across our two entities. This is a hands-on role. Bookkeeping and filings stay with our accountants in Spain and Ireland, and tax and corporate matters with our advisers. You bring it together each month and turn it into the reporting, forecasts and grant files the company runs on.
What you'll do
• Run the monthly close across both entities with our Spanish and Irish accountants
• Own monthly reporting: the internal management review, and board and investor reporting
• Build and maintain a rolling cash forecast and runway
• Own grant and public project reporting: cost and time allocation, evidence, audit files and deadlines
• Keep invoicing, collections and supplier invoices in order,
and the team's expense habits with them
• Manage intercompany recharges and the credit line between entities, and work with our advisers on how we use the group structure
• Be the main contact for accountants, advisers, banks, lenders and auditors What we're looking for Essential
• 5+ years in finance, including time in a smaller setup (startup)
• Spanish accounting and month-end close, working with an external accounting firm
• Grant or public project reporting
• Cash forecasting and management reporting in Excel or Google Sheets
• Fluent Spanish and professional English Nice to have
• Multi-entity groups, intercompany and transfer pricing
• Horizon Europe, ENISA or CDTI reporting
• Experience with a due diligence, audit or funding round
• Managing cloud accounting software (we use Zoho Books currently) You don't need advanced tax, Irish accounting or agri-food knowledge. Our advisers and team cover those. Details
