About the role
We are looking for a Logistics Automation Consultant to support a variety of projects involving the design, analysis, and optimization of manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations. In this role, you will combine logistics engineering, discrete-event simulation, and data analysis to assess operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic investment decisions. You will work on real-world industrial challenges, helping organizations understand how their operations perform today and evaluate how they could perform tomorrow through process improvements, new layouts, and automation. This position is idóneo for someone who enjoys combining engineering, analytical thinking, and simulation to solve complex operational challenges. What you'll work on: You'll use simulation and engineering analysis to help answer questions such as:
• How many AMRs or AGVs are required to support production?
• Where are the bottlenecks in a warehouse or manufacturing facility?
• What is the impact of increasing production volumes?
• Which warehouse layout or material flow configuration delivers the best throughput?
• What level of automation offers the best return on investment?
• How can material handling operations be optimized to reduce congestion and improve efficiency?

Key responsibilities
• Evaluate warehouse automation solutions, including conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, AS/RS, pallet shuttles, robotic systems, and automated storage technologies.
• Develop models of manufacturing facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, and material handling systems.
• Perform capacity, throughput, bottleneck, and resource utilization analyses.
• Develop and run what-if simulations to assess operational changes, layout modifications, and automation investments.
• Build, validate,



and maintain discrete-event simulation models using FlexSim.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, storage capacity, material flow, and overall operational efficiency.
• Support warehouse and manufacturing layout design through simulation-driven recommendations and AutoCAD drafting. Required qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in logistics engineering, warehouse design, automation consulting, or simulation-based analysis.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, manufacturing processes, and material flow principles. Technical Skills
• Knowledge of warehouse automation technologies, including AGVs/AMRs, conveyors, AS/RS, pallet shuttles, and automated storage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory, particularly for facility layout design and drafting.
• Experience with discrete-event simulation software, ideally FlexSim. Additional qualifications (assets)
• Experience performing simulation-based capacity planning and investment analyses.
• Experience with 3D design tools such as SketchUp or Revit.
• Programming experience with Python, C++, or similar languages. Languages
• Excellent proficiency in English is required.
