We’re hiring: Yacht Manager – Drettmann Yachts Palma de Mallorca Drettmann Yachts is a family-owned boutique yacht house with offices in Bremen, Palma de Mallorca and Dubai. Alongside brokerage, we run a yacht management service for owners of yachts between 30 and 60 m. We are looking for an experienced Yacht Manager to lead this department in our Palma-based office. You will be the central point for all communication between owner, captain and our office. You will keep each yacht’s operation, budget, crew and compliance on track and therefore have the freedom and room for growth to make this position and department your own. Your responsibilities
• Lead the yacht management department and its portfolio of client yachts
• Act as the main point of contact for owners, their representatives, captains and crew
• Prepare/ review annual or monthly budgets and monitor spending with captains and accounts
• Plan and oversee maintenance, yard periods, dry docks and refits, on time and within budget together with the crew and technical manager
• Review and negotiate on behalf of the crew and owner with shipyards, suppliers and (service) vendors
• Review accounts and produce clear monthly, quarterly and annual owner reports
• Monitor certification and keep vessels compliant with flag, class, ISM/ISPS and MLC requirements
• Arrange statutory surveys and coordinate yard periods and refits with the technical side, including funding requests to the owner
• Visit and inspect the yachts regularly and report to owners in a clear, structured way




• Support crew recruitment and crew management
• Work with our brokerage team on handovers, new management clients and the yachts we sell

Your profile
• Several years of experience in yacht management, and/ or as Captain, Chief Officer or Chief Engineer on yachts of 30 m+
• Sound knowledge of flag and class regulations, ISM/ISPS and MLC; auditor or DPA experience is an advantage
• Based in Mallorca or willing to move here on very short notice
• Experience with budgets, owner reporting and refit or yard projects
• Experience with yacht accounting, management and payment tools
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Confident with MS Office and able to write clear reports and executive summaries
• Calm under pressure, accurate, discreet, and willing to take ownership
• Ability to work under pressure often juggling various tasks and priorities Ability to assume responsibility and ownership for the assigned tasks Accuracy and attention to detail
• Right to work in the EU
