? At China Three Gorges Europe we are looking for a Legal Director to lead our Legal & Compliance Department. The Legal Director will lead the local legal function and provide comprehensive legal support for CTGE’s business operations and strategic development. The Legal Director will be mainly responsible of the following areas and all the related matters:
• Legal Advisory & Compliance. Provide legal advice on Spanish law and applicable EU regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Renewable Energy Projects. Provide legal support for renewable energy projects, including greenfield development, project construction, operation and related commercial arrangements.
• Investment & M&A.; Lead or oversee legal due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation and execution of investment and M&A; transactions.
• Dispute Resolution. Manage litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution matters, coordinating with external legal counsel where necessary.
• Contract Management. Review and negotiate key commercial contracts and other legal documents, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Team Leadership. Lead and develop the local Legal & Compliance team, improve internal legal processes and strengthen legal risk management.
• Stakeholder Coordination. Coordinate with CTGE management, relevant business departments, headquarters and external legal advisors on significant legal matters. ? Idóneo Candidate Profile:
• 20+ years of legal experience,



preferably including substantial experience in leading international law firms or other top-tier law firms.
• Experience in renewable energy projects, investment and M&A;, greenfield development and dispute resolution, with a proven track record of leading or participating in significant transactions and projects.
• Experience in leading and managing an in-house legal team or legal function.
• Exposure to Spanish law and relevant EU legal and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to provide practical legal advice in a complex, cross-border business environment.
• Experience in negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and multicultural teams.
• English Advanced level (equivalent to C1-C2)
