Experteer Overview In this role you will operate and evolve a production Kong API Gateway in a cloud-first setting, enabling safe, self-service API onboarding and policy delivery. You’ll work within an international platform team to connect apps to AI services securely and reliably. The position emphasizes hands-on ownership, automation, and observable, secure platform operations. This is an opportunity to shape a scalable API platform and reduce toil through GitOps and automation.Compensaciones / Beneficios
- Operate and continuously improve Kong API Gateway across Microsoft Azure, handling incidents, changes, upgrades, security, capacity and lifecycle management.
- Design and build automation and self-service capabilities for API onboarding, policy delivery and platform changes.
- Develop platform services and tooling using APIs, GitOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Establish observability across metrics, logs and traces with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic Stack; strengthen API securityvia policies, certificates, secrets and identity standards.




- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and translate learnings into durable platform improvements.
- Share on-call responsibility for the platform and use incidents to eliminate operational toil.Responsabilidades
- Hands-on experience operating an API gateway in production.
- Strong production experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift and Microsoft Azure (AKS) and Entra ID.
- Automation skills using GitOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code (e.G., Terraform, Helm, Argo CD, GitLab CI).
- Software engineering or scripting experience; Go for Terraform integrations or Java/Spring Boot is advantageous.
- Solid knowledge of networking, TLS, certificates, secrets and identity standards (OAuth, OIDC).
- Experience with observability, incident response and root-cause analysis in regulated environments; OpenTelemetry is a plus.Requisitos principales
